Yeah, once per book is pretty pointless, but at least it's a step in the right direction. I don't mind not being able to read something if it's loaned out-- that's no different from a regular book. And the feature that assures you'll get the ebook back sounds to me like they're trying to circumvent reselling or prevent people from giving their ebooks away once they're done reading them. :/
