Heh. These days, there's simpler than that even w/o cracking software: Screencaps & OCR. Slow, but still faster than typing. (Not faster than scanning & OCRing, for those who have the right kind of scanners, but that involves killing a physical book. For out-of-print mass-market paperbacks a few years old, that's often fine; it's less good for rare collectibles.)
