Current ebook pet peeve

Since I'm home sick today, I've been blowing through a bunch of books and I have to say that it is very annoying to get within 20 or so pages of the end of the book and all of the sudden you find out that there's no more story, just endless previews. I hate it in print books and I hate it in e, especially when it's not marked in the table of contents.
