I did that with a Pandigital and the results were okay, but I wasn't totally satisfied with it (also I didn't like the way it actually displayed PDFs at all) so I took it back. I think for someone who wanted something different out of it, it could be worthwhile, though.
Very interesting.. I like the idea of actually owning something you've bought, which with a lot of e-readers is a bit problematical [I'm looking at you Amazon!] and rooting it to work as a tablet would certainly overcome that.
Now all I need to do is to save up $250 and have my cousin do this for me. COOL!!! All I do is surf about ten internet sites and browse my email. Normally that's all I do on my laptop. You can get used to the no-touch screen.
